How much does a custom color consultation cost?

Our consultations here at Hyde are completely complimentary! At that consultation, your stylist will give you an accurate quote on what you are looking at for your service, as well as what your upkeep will look like for your maintenance appointments.

Will custom color damage my hair?

With our custom colors, we are formulating specifically for your hair's condition. We use a premium color line, Goldwell, and high-end care products from Oribe and Kérastase. We formulate carefully and will always be honest about what your hair can handle. If your hair is damaged, we'll recommend a treatment plan before we even attempt any dramatic color changes. Your hair's health is at the top of our priority list!

How long does a custom color appointment take?

It depends on what we're doing! It can really vary between 1 hour, all the way up to 7. This is where that Consultation comes in. A 7 hour appointment is rare, but it definitely can happen! Once we come up with a game plan on exactly what we're going to do, we can give you that price commitment, as well as the time commitment for planning. We always want to block plenty of time so that we're never rushing through your service!

Do I need to bring inspiration photos?

Yes, bring them! But understand they're a starting point for conversation, not a blueprint. We definitely want to see what you're drawn to, but then we'll talk about what's realistic for your hair type, what will complement your skin tone, and what fits your maintenance schedule! Sometimes we'll get very close to the photo, and sometimes we'll create something completely different that just works better for you!
